Vicente González was an ABG co-founding partner and co-managing director. He worked in the patent field since 1986. His practice focused on patent prosecution, opinion work and litigation support in the areas of organic chemistry, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. He was a Spanish Patent and Trademark Agent and a qualified European Patent Attorney (EQE, 2013).

Before he founded ABG Patentes, Vicente worked as an independent patent professional at González y Negro, S.L. (1993-2003), was a patent technician at Spanish industrial chemical group Ercros, S.A. (1989-93), and was a technical assistant to the head of the international patent department at Spanish IP firm in Madrid (1986-89).

He participated as an expert in many Spanish patent lawsuits related to pharmaceutical and biotechnological products and lectured on intellectual property on many occasions.

Vicente was member of Colegio Oficial de Químicos de Madrid, Asociación Nacional de Químicos de España (ANQUE) and Sociedad Española de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular (SEBBM).

He was a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English.

Vicente González passed away on 6 February 2016 after a long illness at the much too young an age of 56. He is fondly remembered by his many friends and colleagues as a unique individual who always offered the best of himself both at a personal and professional level.
