Three new associates at ABG IP: Gemma Muruáis, Beatriz García y Virginia Gómez

We are delighted to announce that three professionals from ABG Intellectual Property have been appointed as associates. They are three experts in intellectual property, particularly patents, who work in three different technical departments.and whose careers have evolved since joining our intellectual property firm.

The new associates are Gemma Muruáis, Beatriz García and Virginia Gómez. All of them are European Patent Attorneys, a qualification that entitles them to represent third parties before the European Patent Office (EPO).

Furthermore, we consider that all three specialist are great examples of how it’s possible to grow professionally at ABG IP. They have shown remarkable dedication since joining, and they have seized the chance to grow their careers in the IP industry by utilising training and educational options.

Gemma Muruáis joined ABG in 2010, and because of her background in research and her expertise in molecular biology (she has a PhD in molecular biology), she has been a vital member of the Biotechnology & Life Sciences department. Her ability to manage complex projects has been fundamental to her appointment as an associate.

Beatriz García joined ABG in 2016 and is a valuable asset in the Engineering, Physics, and ICT departments due to her experience at Airbus and her strong expertise in aeronautical engineering (she is an aeronautical technical engineer). In addition to that, she is also the coordinator of the European Patent Law Course, which reflects her commitment to the patent agent profession and her clear organisational skills.

Virginia Gómez joined ABG in 2017 and is a valuable member of the Chemistry & Materials department due to her exceptional career in chemistry and nanotechnology (she has a PhD in chemical engineering). She has become one of our new partners because of her excellence and dedication, which are demonstrated by her research work and academic recognition. Virginia is also qualified to represent third parties before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.

We are honoured to have such outstanding individuals at ABG IP, and we will keep fostering their professional development to make sure that learning and work-life balance are prioritised in our workplace.
