Managing IP selects three “patent stars” and three “rising stars” from the ABG IP team

Six European Patent Attorneys members of our team have been distinguished this 2022 in the IP Stars ranking published by the prestigious publication specialized in intellectual property Managing IP. Five of them repeat recognition, but our partner in the Chemistry & Materials department, Almudena Fernández, joins the group.

As a result, the following professionals have been chosen for this year’s list:

The difference between “patent stars” and “rising stars” is that the former would be senior professionals and partners of major IP firms, while the latter are “promising practitioners”.

ABG facts and clients

To be included in this ranking, firms must complete an application that summarize many and detailed facts about our activities during the year. However, this does not ensure our inclusion in the ranking, and the magazine emphasises this point.

IP STARS is not a directory of all firms and individuals offering IP services. There are firms and practitioners that we have not recognised even though we have research data about them.”

It is thus a source of great happiness and pride for us that members of our team are once again recognised in its lists.

Furthermore, in this edition, the publication highlights some of our clients, who are, without a doubt, the most important validation we have for our way of understanding this profession.

“Case studies show the firm dealing with both patent protection work and patent disputes work. The firm worked for a range of clients including Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT), Faes Farma, Técnicas Reunidas, iGenomix, Airbus and Repsol. The firm sadly announced on November 2 that co-founder Francisco Bernardo Noriega passed away on October 31 2021.”

And it also collects the following testimonials that our clients have sent them during their research:

“We have been working with ABG since 2004 and the experience is perfect in all aspects.”

“They are very professional in their activities and close to the client.”

“We use the firm because of the number of qualified patent attorneys it has and the commitment to training.”

“They are competent, reliable, professional and understand the science behind our IP.”

“They have great communication skills and know how to talk to scientists.”

“They are smart, efficient, professional and kind.”

Lastly, ABG IP has been ranked in the top tier of patent prosecution firms since 2010 and has maintained its position in the most recent edition. Furthermore, in 2022, our trademarks department has been named notable firm in their prosecution category.
