Laura joined ABG in 2022 as a patent adviser in the Biotechnology & Life Sciences Department. Her practice focuses on patentability searches, patent prosecution and drafting in the areas of molecular and cellular biology, pharmacogenomics, gene therapy, immunology, animal models, and diagnostic methods.

After completing her education, the intellectual property protection has always been a focus of his professional experience. Before joining ABG, she worked for another IP firm in Madrid. For a year and a half, she was responsible of the Innovation Unit at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Fundación Jiménez Díaz, where she was in charge of managing the IIS-FJD’s patent portfolio and the valorisation and the transfer of technologies associated to existing or newly created companies.

She has finished the Course in European Patent Law, organized by the Center for International Studies on Intellectual Property (CEIPI) of the University of Strabourg.

Laura is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
