On the 3rd of June ABG Intellectual Property hosted its fifth edition of the seminar IP Perspectives in Madrid. This event was an opportunity to meet professionals from the sector to discuss hot IP topics, share opinions and witness the latest developments in the innovation industry.

About a hundred participants attended the lectures of the speakers: Francisco Bernardo (Founding Partner at ABG IP), José Miguel Lissén (Partner of ABG IP), Inés Cantero (Trademark Adviser at ABG IP), Julia Wiebe (Director of Research and Development at Nektium Pharma), Jerónimo Bergado (Patent Examiner at EPO) and Frederik Grever (European Patent Attorney and Former IP Counsel at SABIC). The speakers  explained how to obtain patents safely, how to use a registered trademark to avoid losing its rights, the present trend in patents for antibodies and immunotherapy, how Nektium Pharma protects its innovation, as well as the patentability of Computer Implemented Inventions and how multinational companies manage their patent portfolio.

The seminar was a great success according to comments made by attendees: “Interesting and enjoyable at the same time”, “Practical cases within the presentations”, “A good atmosphere, well prepared speakers, interesting subjects”.

ABG IP would like to thank all participants for such positive feedback, as well as the speakers for their very interesting presentations. We look forward to seeing you in our future seminars.
