Ana joined ABG late in 2020 as a patent adviser in the Chemistry & Materials Department. Her practice is focused on patent drafting and prosecution and opinion work, mostly in the areas of materials science, organic chemistry and nanotechnology. She is Spanish Patent and Trademark Agent (2019).

Before she started at ABG, Ana worked for a year at another IP firm in Madrid after several years as a patent translator in the UK.

Ana’s doctoral thesis revolved around the development of hybrid materials based on nanocrystalline cellulose. Her research career focused on organic synthesis and the study of nanomaterials, and was developed both in industry, at the agrochemical company Syngenta in the UK, and academia at the Universities of Trieste and Castilla-La Mancha, where she received the award to the best academic record in her Chemistry degree.

Ana is a native Spanish speaker, and is fluent in English and Italian.
