Once again, Financial Times has placed ABG IP among Europe’s elite in the field of patents. The 2025 edition of its “Europe’s Leading Patent Law Firms” report ranks us as the number one firm in Spain and seventh in Europe, reaffirming our leadership in the sector.

Since being selected in 2019 as the only Spanish firm included in the very first edition of this ranking, we have had the honour of consistently appearing among Europe’s most highly regarded patent firms. And while this isn’t our first time, each new edition is still a tremendous source of pride — and a reflection of the trust placed in us by our clients and industry peers.

In this year’s edition, we’ve matched our best-ever medal count, earning five golds and one silver:

This recognition is especially meaningful because it is based on an independent survey conducted by Statista, gathering the opinions of more than 3,300 IP professionals across Europe, including clients and patent attorneys. The data was collected between February and March this year, adding both rigour and relevance to the results.

A brilliant team, a constant commitment

We know that behind every success is a great deal of hard work, and we want to recognise the team that makes it possible. Today, ABG IP is made up of nearly 80 professionals across our offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia — all with strong backgrounds in science, technology, law and IP management.

Our team includes:
• 22 European Patent Attorneys
• 11 Spanish Patent & Trademark Attorneys
• 19 PhDs in various scientific and technical disciplines
• 5 lawyers specialising in IP

This recognition inspires us to keep growing alongside the organisations that trust us to protect their innovations and drive their progress.

Thank you to everyone who makes it possible for ABG IP to remain a leading name in intellectual property.
