Carlos joined ABG in 2024 as a patent adviser in the Biotechnology & Life Sciences Department. His practice focuses on patentability search, patent prosecution and drafting in the areas of molecular and cellular biology, pharmacogenomics, gene therapy, immunology, animal models, and diagnostic methods.

Before joining ABG, Carlos was a post-doctoral researcher at Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich, studying the mechanisms of nucleic acid sensing and the regulation of inflammation. His doctoral thesis focused on the regulation of cell signaling cascades by post-translational modifications.

He has published papers in peer review journals (Nature Communications, EMBO Journal, eLife, etc) and presented his work at international conferences.

Carlos is a native speaker of Spanish and is fluent in French and English.
